Complete garden makeover in Billingshurst

Brief

To completely landscape the garden, to keep the Japanese maple tree and to provide an all weather area for the children to play on.

Everything was removed including a pond(fish were re-homed), shed greenhouse and all plants. A wall at the bottom of the garden was knocked down to provide an additional 4 m of garden to an existing hedge. 18 ton of hardcore was taken away. The site was levelled and the foundations for the wall dug. The wall and steps were built out of natural stone and capped. A planting area on the inside of the wall was built. 90 square meters of yorkstone paving was laid, to provide an all weather area for the children to play on. The decking was built with a pergola at the end of the garden and patio to provide an outside seating and eating area. Mains power was also supplied. A new shed was installed with mains power. The grass was laid and the beds planted with climbing plants to soften the wall. We had some additional jobs to do in the front, trim down a conifer hedge for better light and lay some patio stones with shingle to tidy the front.
